Functional Behavior Assessments:

Is your child exhibiting challenging behaviors? A functional behavioral assessment aims to determine the function(s) of the challenging behaviors (e.g., tantrums, aggression, non-compliance, self-injury) and to offer strategies to decrease the behavior.

A Functional Behavior Assessment includes:

  • Direct and indirect evaluation of challenging behavior

  • Development of a comprehensive and individualized behavior plan to reduce challenging behavior

  • Development of a comprehensive and individualized treatment plan for corresponding replacement skills

Caregiver Training

Caregiver training can include:

  • Education in ABA-based strategies and principles

  • Reducing behaviors (e.g., tantrums, aggression, repetitive behaviors)

  • Creating and implementing effective systems of reinforcement

  • Strategies for improving social skills

  • Expanding food repertoire for picky eaters

  • Improving sleep

Ongoing caregiver training will include problem-solving, collaboration, and progress updates.
